The tournament, which uniquely blends faith and sportsmanship, has attracted significant attention from students, fans, and key stakeholders, further cementing its place in the region’s growing sports calendar.
The tournament is a collaborative initiative between Christ Is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) and the County Government of Kakamega, through the Department of Sports. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to nurturing young talent while instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and spiritual growth among learners. The opening ceremony set an energetic tone, with teams demonstrating enthusiasm and readiness to compete at the highest level.
Day one of the tournament featured electrifying group stage matches, with participating schools delivering impressive and competitive performances. In the opening fixtures, Ingotse narrowly lost to Kisumu Boys 0–1, while Shanderema secured a 1–0 victory over Tande.
