COUNTY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS REVIEW THE COUNTY FISCAL STRATEGY PAPER(CFSP) 2024

Different ministries from the County Government of Kakamega on Thursday February 22nd held a multi sectorial consultative meeting to review the County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2024. The meeting held under the leadership of The CECM FINANCE, Economic Planning and ICT, CPA Livingstone IMBAYI on behalf of H.E. the Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa, had a chance to review and assess the priorities contained in the policy document that sets pave for the ministerial budget estimates development. The County Fiscal Strategy Paper developed according to section 117 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, provides that the county must align their priorities with both the county as well and the national planning framework as well as comply to the fiscal responsibility principles outlined in section 107 of the PFMA 2012.

While Chairing the meeting, Finance CECM CPA Livingston Imbayi asked department to prioritize their development areas according to their needs.

The meeting was also attended by the County Budget and Economic Forum Members led by their secretary Rev. William Owuya, CECM Members, Chief Officers , CEO’s of County Agencies, Municipal Managers and Departmental Directors.
