COUNTY RECEIVES TOPDRESSING FERTILIZER FOR ONWARD DISTRIBUTION.

Following a directive by Governor Fernandes Barasa to ensure timely supply of topdressing fertilizer, the Department of Agriculture has received the first batch of top dressing fertilizer which is due for distribution to farmers.

The consignment has been successfully offloaded at Lurambi and Khwisero stores, with distribution to the remaining sub-county stores expected to continue in phases until all areas are covered.

The initiative is aimed at supporting vulnerable farmers to enhance crop productivity during the current planting season, in line with the County Government’s commitment to strengthening the food security pillar through increased agricultural output and improved farmer support.

Identified beneficiaries will receive SMS notifications detailing when and where to collect their allocated topdressing fertilizer.
