COUNTY STAFF SENSITISED ON JUBILEE/TRANSNEP HEALTH INSURANCE OPERATIONS

The County Government of Kakamega, through the Department of Public Service and Administration, today conducted a capacity-building and sensitization forum for County staff on the operationalization of the Jubilee/TRANSNEP health insurance policy.
The insurance cover, implemented through H. E. Governor Fernandes Barasa’s directive under the Quality Health Pillar, targets Kakamega County staff and their dependants, with a specific aim of enhancing staff welfare to promote effective service delivery.
While representing Governor Barasa during the opening of the exercise, Chief Officer for Public Service, Ms. Priscah Otipa, emphasized the Countyโ€™s commitment to the wellbeing of its workforce, noting that a healthy and motivated staff is key to improved service delivery for the people of Kakamega County. The insurance cover caters for County staff and their dependents including spouses and children with benefits ranging from KSh 750,000 to KSh 1.5 million, depending on an employeeโ€™s job group.
โ€œHaving taken additional insurance cover alongside the Social Health Authority (SHA), it is the Governorโ€™s expectation that County staff will reciprocate by offering quality and efficient services to the residents of Kakamega County,โ€ said Mrs. Otipa.
The Jubilee/TRANSNEP team, led by Ms. Rosemary Wangare, assured staff of 24-hour service availability, reaffirming their commitment to supporting County employees as they discharge their duties.
Also present during the exercise were Lugari and Likuyani sub-county administrators, Rosemary Wangara Transnep GM-Retention and Client Service,Diana Gikonyo- Transnep Claims & Care manager, Felix Henry Ogera – Mtiba Field Support, Dennis Juma Ochieng -Relationship Manager among other officials.
