County Steps Up โ€˜Amatsi Khumuliangoโ€™ Agenda with Impromptu Inspections of FFLoCA Water Projects

Today, officers from the Department of Water, Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change conducted impromptu site visits to various ongoing water projects under the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FFLoCA) programme.
The team assessed the progress of the Mwikhomo and Kilingili water projects in Ikolomani Sub-county, the Matungu water project in Matungu Sub-county, and the Buheri water project in Navakholo Sub-county. These projects are set for official commissioning soon by H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa.
Governor Barasa remains firmly committed to advancing his clarion call, Amatsi Khumuliango (“Water at the Doorstep”) a transformative agenda to ensure every household in Kakamega County has access to clean and safe water. The Governor’s water and sanitation blueprint continues to turn this vision into reality, one project at a time.
