COUNTY TO COLLABORATE WITH NATIONAL GOVERNMENT ON DEVELOPMENT
Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa today Sunday attended a holy mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church Kongoni in Likuyani Sub-County where he conducted a special thanksgiving ceremony in aid of completion of a convent project at the parish.
The Governor thereafter attended a second church service at PAG Soy Township Church for another thanksgiving mass in support of the Church’s relocation project.
Addressing faithfuls at both venues, the Governor reiterated his readiness to collaborate with the National Government on development agenda, including all initiatives geared towards improving the socio-economic livelihoods of the people of Kakamega County.
He commended the move by some Members of Parliament who recently paid the President a courtesy call saying he welcomes such efforts by political leaders aimed at developing Kakamega County at large.
The Governor called upon farmers to register and purchase the subsidized fertilizer availed by the National Government adding that his administration will equally provide same subsidy to cushion the farmers and residents against the harsh economy.
