Enhancement of the County’s own source revenue

H. E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa has emphasized his commitment to continue improving strategies towards enhancement of the County’s own source revenue.

During a service delivery meeting held at Golf hotel, Kakamega today, Governor Barasa stated that as the government on boards a new revenue system this financial year, revenue collection will henceforth be purely cashless, thereby sealing pilferage.

The Governor noted that as Safaricom telecommunications maps out revenue streams that are yet to be realized and seal all the gaps, the County government anticipates to achieve and even surpass the Ksh. 2.2 B target set for the current financial year.

He challenged senior officers to ensure Kakamega County surpasses its Ksh. 5 B revenue potential by exercising discipline, teamwork and optimal utilization of interdepartmental shareable resources.

He encouraged the executive to enhance government publicity on service delivery through available regional and mainstream communication channels, including social media and public fora.

In attendance were all the Executive staff.
