Governor Barasa Attends High-Level Consultative Meeting at State House
This morning, Kakamega Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa joined fellow leaders from Western Kenya at State House, Nairobi, for a consultative meeting chaired by H.E. President William Ruto. The discussions focused on assessing progress on key priority projects in the region.
The leaders deliberated on strengthening agricultural value chains, particularly increasing fertilizer uptake to boost food production, as well as reviving the sugar and Tea sectors.
Infrastructure development was also a key agenda, including road upgrades, power connections, and the expansion of fresh produce markets. Additionally, the meeting addressed universal health coverage and initiatives to enhance access to clean water.
