GOVERNOR BARASA MARKS PALM SUNDAY IN MATUNGU, CALLS FOR PRAYER AND CIVIC DUTY.

H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, today joined faithful at Holy Spirit Bulimbo Catholic Church in Kholera Ward, Matungu Sub-County, for Palm Sunday Mass.

The service marked the beginning of Holy Week, commemorating the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. As captured in Matthew 21:9, the faithful proclaimed: _“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”_

Governor Barasa wished all Christians a season of renewal, hope, and spiritual growth as Christians enter the Easter period. He urged residents to embrace humility, peace, and reflection.

The Governor also encouraged eligible residents to register as voters during the upcoming one-month exercise by the IEBC, noting that civic participation strengthens democracy and supports development.

He was accompanied by the First Lady, Prof. Janet Kassilly Barasa, Members of the County Assembly, the County Executive, and other leaders.
