KAKAMEGA COUNTY GOVERNOR’S GALA RESCHEDULED

The eagerly awaited Kakamega County Governor’s Gala that had been slated for 17th of this month will now be held on 24th, November 2023.

This was revealed by the County Executive Committee Member for Social Services, Sports, Youth, Gender and Culture Mr Mophat Mandela on Friday during Matungu Sub-County Festivals at Matungu County Polytechnic. He said other critical, pressing needs informed the postponement and asked artists to polish their performances in readiness for the Gala.

The CECM also announced that the event will be succeeded by a Youth Conference dubbed Kakamega Youth Kikao, on 25th November 2023; a forum that will give Kakamega County youth an opportunity to engage with the County Executives led by H.E FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa on matters Governance and Economic Empowerment among others.

He was accompanied by other County Officers led by the Director for Culture Ms Gaudencia Otipa and area Sub-County Administrator Mr Amos Imbwaga among others.
