KAKAMEGA DG HOSTS UTALII COLLEGE COUNCIL CHAIRPERSON

Deputy Governor H.E Ayub Savula on Thursday hosted Kenya Utalii College Council Chairperson Mr David Wamatsi at the County Headquarters where matters promotion of the tourism sector in Kakamega County were discussed.

The DG who doubles up as the County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Industrialization and Tourism assured that Kakamega County Government will collaborate with the National Government and other key stakeholders to ensure tourists attraction sites within Kakamega such as Mawe Tatu in Likuyani, Crying Stone in Shinyalu and the Kakamega Tropical Rainforest among others are upgraded and safeguarded. This, Hon. Savula explained, which will go along way in creating employment opportunities and wealth amongst residents in line with H.E Governor Fernandes Barasa’s agenda.

Chief Officer for Industrialization and Tourism Mr Saxon Kweyu and the Chairperson of the Tourism and Hospitality Stakeholders Western Region Rev. William Owuya were present.
