KAKAMEGA PLAYERS SHINE AT EALASCA SELECTION EXERCISE

Kakamega trialists at the ongoing East Africa Local Authorities Sports and Cultural Association (EALASCA) selection exercise at Siaya KMTC and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) in Siaya County have impressed selectors in the various disciplines they are participating in as the selection nears homestretch.

County Chief Officer for Sports, Youth and Library Services Mr Joseph Abucheri on Thursday delivered best wishes to the athletes at their camp, on behalf of the CECM for Social Services, Sports, Youth, Gender and Culture Mr Mophat Mandela, and extended H.E FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa’s good will message to the County ambassadors as they strive to catch the eye of the selectors.

The platform has presented the sportsmen and women with a perfect platform to showcase their talents and skills as envisaged by Governor Barasa in his Social Development pillar that champions for facilitation of suitable events that are capable of exposing athletes to the outside world.

Kakamega County is represented by players in Volleyball (ladies), Football (men), Ajua and Athletics disciplines.
