KEMSA DELIVERS DRUGS CONSIGNMENT TO KAKAMEGA COUNTY
The County Government of Kakamega today received a large pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical consignment from the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA) worth Kshs. 30 million.
The Pharmacist in charge at the Kakamega Referral Hospital, Dr. Michael Watamba said the delivery was only for the Kakamega County General & Referal Hospital (CGH). He commended the close working relations between the County Government and KEMSA adding that timely payment for drugs already supplied and nurturing of close working relations with the medical supplies agency take credit for the positive step.
MEANWHILE, A team from Kenya Urban Support Programme under World Bank led by Mr. Titus Musyoka, a consultant from ACAL Consulting Agency, today morning paid a courtesy call on H.E. FCPA Governor Wycliffe Oparanya at the county headquarters to asses whether the County meets the criteria for the next funding from the world bank. The World Bank has given significant conditional grants to Kakamega County for urban roads infrastructure development in Kakamega and Mumias municipalities.
Also present was the CECM for Housing and Urban Areas and Physical Planning, Mr. Alfred Matianyi among other officials.
