OBSERVE HIGH INTEGRITY WHILE SERVING THE PUBLIC, OG STAFF TOLD

Acting Chief of Staff Mr Musa Chibole has urged staff in the Office of the Governor (OG) to exercise high level of public relations and integrity while serving visitors in their offices.

Mr Chibole said expectations of wananchi on staff in OG were very high because of the nature of the office urging them to live to their expectations.

“The public out there and even staff from other departments expect a lot from you therefore set the bar higher and live to it,” said Chibole who doubles as Advisor on Governance.

He made the remarks today while closing a three day workshop for OG staff at Sosa Cottages in Vihiga County where they reviewed the Service Charter and Strategic Plan drafts for the department.

Mr Chibole asked the staff to take time and update themselves with operations in the other departments to be able to adequately respond to the needs by locals seeking services in the County.

“I have established that people who visit OG offices believe you know everything going on in the County. Therefore make efforts of getting to know what other departments do so as to handle the visitors with first hand information,” he said.

He said OG is defined as a symbol of County unity therefore staff should strive to promote cohesiveness and unity.

He added; “This is a coordinative office, every department depends on OG for its operations. So be at your best while discharging your duties at any level.”

Deputy County Secretary Mr Joshua Kutekha said the workshop brought the staff from OG together for the first time after a long period.

“I am certain that you will leave here a more united team than ever,” he pointed out.

He asked the staff to freely share their experiences, expectations and challenges with colleagues for their growth.
