OPARANYA DEMONSTRATES SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Kakamega County Governor H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya today inspected and gave cheques for government projects in Likuyani Sub-County. At St. Joseph Kogo Secondary, Governor Oparanya opened a two classrooms building constructed by the government and announced that he will spearhead the construction of a dormitory in the institution. The Governor later commissioned new government Office and Social Hall for Sango Ward and called on the locals to maximize use of the structures brought close to them by the county government through public participation by seeking for services.
While at Likuyani Market at a dully attended rally, Governor Oparanya issued cheques of KShs10Million to Likuyani and Matunda Sub-County Hospitals apiece. The Governor also gave out cheques worth KSh2.5Million for construction to each of the following schools; Sango Primary School (Sango Ward), Mufungu Primary School (Sango Ward) Binyenya Primary School (Nzoia Ward), St.Teresa Primary School (Kongoni Ward), Sirende PAG Primary School (Sinoko Ward) and Alikula Primary School (Likuyani Ward).
It was also a memorable day to 30 less fortunate elders and two youths groups in Likuyani Sub-County who received a mattress and two blankets each and motor vehicle washing equipment respectively.
The Governor was accompanied by H.E The Deputy Governor Prof. Philip Kutima, Hon. MCA’s, CECMs, CO’s, CoS, Advisors, Heads of Departments, among others.
