PRIORITIZE COMPLETION OF UNCOMPLETED PROJECTS – DG SAVULA
Kakamega County Government Ministries’ Officers involved in validation of the County Intergrated Development Plan (CIDP) have been challenged to prioritise completion of unfinished projects that were initiated by the former administration and at the same time plan the optimum operationalization of Mumias Sugar Company.
Speaking during a validation meeting of CIDP 2023-2027, Kakamega Deputy Governor H.E Hon. Ayub Savula urged the Officers to give priority to Governor Fernandes Barasa’s manifesto by ensuring actualization of Shinyalu Tea factory, Malava Milk processing plant, revitalization of Mumias Sugar Company through proper sugarcane development plan and protection of farmers, and further come up with an elaborate programme on how the Lugari Maize Milling plant will be established.
Hon. Savula added that the CIDP must include actual and realistic budgetary proposals and have a proper road map and timeline under which the projects must be completed.
He cautioned the team against coming up with projects that will drive the County Government into pending bills since that will hinder proper service delivery to the people.
