RAINBOW FOR AFRICA DELEGATION PAYS A COURTESY ON GOVERNOR BARASA
Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa on Monday hosted a delegation from Rainbow For Africa UK (R4A-UK), led by the Chairperson Dr. Francis Mugeni, at the County Headquarters.
The County Government of Kakamega will partner with the organisation together with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) for their first project dubbed, Project ECHO; which will donate portable ultrasound machines to primary level care facilities, Level 3 and Level 4 health facilities, to aid in antenatal care, screening of pregnant women, identification of complications and prompt referrals for immediate interventions.
R4A-UK is an international organization that promotes health and social interventions in communities in deprived settings
In attendance was the Deputy Governor H.E Hon. Ayub Savula, the Dean School of Medicine MMUST- Dr. Donald Kokonya and the County Director of Medical Services Dr. Stephen Wandei.
