SHITOLI ECDE CENTRE COMPLETED, STRENGTHENING EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IN IDAKHO EAST.

Shitoli ECDE Centre in Idakho East, Ikolomani Sub-County, is among the 62 ECDE Centres being implemented by the County Government of Kakamega under the leadership of Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa.

The Centre is now complete and awaiting commissioning, marking another milestone in the Governor’s commitment to strengthening early childhood education and providing quality learning infrastructure across the county. The 62 ECDE Centres comprise 124 classrooms, with each Centre having two classrooms.

The new Shitoli ECDE Centre features two classrooms, a teachers’ office, kitchen, water tank and sanitation facilities, providing a safe and conducive environment for young learners. The investment will give children in the area a better foundation for learning and development while supporting teachers and the wider community. Through continued investment in ECDE infrastructure, Governor Barasa is laying a stronger educational foundation for thousands of children across Kakamega County.
