H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa has revealed that the County Government of Kakamega has elaborate plans to empower the youth, particularly Gen Z, as part of his #WealthCreation agenda.

Addressing mourners at the home of the late Florence Afune, the immediate former Chief of Kisa South Location in Khwisero Sub-County, the Governor encouraged the youth to register in self-help groups to benefit from the County’s Social Protection Grants.

Last month, the County issued cheques to 900 groups, 15 from each ward, with each receiving Ksh. 50,000 to support various empowerment programs.

The Governor mourned the late Florence Afune as a diligent administrator who left a significant mark on society.
