Transparency, openness, and accountability are foundational principles of excellent service delivery and good governance, which the County Government of Kakamega fully embraces.
In line with these values, H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa presided over Ikolomani Sub-county’s public participation forum at Malinya grounds in Idakho Central Ward.
In his address, the Governor emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two levels of Government in establishing a gold refinery plant in Ikolomani, which will help in unlocking the untapped gold potential of the area.
H.E the Governor further urged Kakamega farmers to stop selling their maize at throw away prices to safeguard the county’s food security.
In attendance were the Deputy Governor, H.E. Ayub Savula, the area MP Hon. Bernard Shinali, dedicated MCAs led by the Majority Leader, Hon. Philip Maina, and key County Officials led by the County Secretary and Head of Public Service, Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka.
