Today, His Excellency Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa hosted the Kakamega County Disability Committee, led by the Chairperson, Ms. Lucy Mulombi, and MCA Hon. Timothy Aseka, for a high-level consultative meeting focused on strengthening disability inclusion and equity in service delivery.
Governor Barasa emphasized his administrationโ€™s dedication to fully implementing the Disability Act, sustaining the provision of assistive devices, increasing budgetary support for social services, and ensuring inclusive access to county procurement opportunities for persons with disabilities.
โ€œOur commitment is to build a county where no one is left behind,โ€ said Governor Barasa. โ€œWe will continue to champion equal opportunities, accessibility, and dignity for all,โ€ he emphasized.
This engagement aligns with the Governorโ€™s broader social development agenda aimed at creating an inclusive, just, and equitable society for every resident of Kakamega County.
