The County Government of Kakamega has once again gotten the opportunity to market the County’s investment prospects at the ongoing reSURGEnce Conference in New York City, United States of America. The conference, themed “Moving the needle forwards,” extensively explores the state of Black Business in the Africa-American Round Table business exchange forum.
Ms. Elizabeth Asichi, CEO of the Kakamega County Investment and Development Agency (KCIDA), led a panel of African experts in analyzing investment opportunities across Hospitality, Culture, ICT, Agriculture, and Climate Change. The discussion aimed at providing valuable insights for stakeholders, including those in the Diaspora and the American business community.
Ms. Asichi presented the underlying city twinning opportunities for Kakamega that will enable local and global investors engage in trade and investment.
Keynote speakers at the event include Dr Nevers Bumba, Former Vice President of Zambia and Actor Hill Harper; as well as a delegation from Kenya Diaspora Alliance that has signed MoU with Kakamega County Abana Verse International and David Karani from the Africa Business Connect Network from Dallas.
