𝐊𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐀 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐒

The County Government of Kakamega today hosted a delegation from the Communication Authority of Kenya led by Mrs. Patricia Muchiri, the Acting Director Public Education and Awareness Department to plan for upcoming public engagement forums on Consumer Protection which will be spearheaded by the Authority, dubbed 𝑲𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒐 𝑲𝒊𝒌𝒖𝒖.

The meeting that was chaired by CS&HPS Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka at the County Chambers also informed on areas of collaboration between the County and the Communication Authority in areas of ICT as envisioned in Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa’s agenda on good governance, including advancing digital healthcare services, enhancing own source revenue, widening the scope of online employment opportunities, capitalizing on ICT for efficient mass communication and adressing cases of cyber crime, among others.

The meeting was also attended by CECM Finance and ICT CPA Livingston Imbayi, County Attorney CS Viviane Mmbaka, Chief Officers and Directors, all whom the Communication Authority team lauded for actively participating in the meeting.
