Under the Wealth Creation and Infrastructure Development pillar, Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa is transforming Amalemba and Kambi Somali settlements through the second phase of the Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Program (KISIP 2) in Kakamega Municipality.

The Ksh116 million infrastructure upgrade—funded through a partnership between the World Bank, the French Development Agency, an EU grant, and the County Government of Kakamega—is improving livelihoods with the ongoing upgrade of roads to bitumen standards, construction of sewer lines, piped water, and street lighting.

Governor Barasa’s focus on partnerships for sustainable development is keeping Kakamega County on the path to progress.
