𝑮𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑵𝑶𝑹 𝑩𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑺𝑨 𝑪𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑩𝑹𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑺 𝑻𝑶𝑷 𝑺𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑬𝑵𝑻𝑺.

Kakamega County Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa Thursday evening joined St. Anne’s Girls Primary School fraternity in Mumias West Sub-County following the institution’s stellar performance in this year’s KCPE National Examinations.

With an enrolment of 289 candidates, the school produced one of the best candidates in this year’s examinations, Bethany Jacinta Khasongo, who scored 427 marks, coming second to the top pupil nationally.

Governor Barasa congratulated the school for the outstanding performance and announced that due to public interest, the County Government of Kakamega will collaborate with other key stakeholders including the school Management and the Community to improve infrastructure at the renown institution.

FCPA Barasa reiterated that his administration is committed to supporting education in the County through scholarships and bursaries and reminded parents that the County Government has doubled bursary allocation this Financial Year to Ksh 4 Million. The bursaries will be dispensed at the Ward level.

He was accompanied by CECM Education, Science and Technology Dr Bonface Okoth, County Secretary and Head of Public Dr Lawrence Omuhaka, Chief Officers Dr Phitalis Masakhwe and Mr Justin Mutobera as well as Mumias West Sub-County Administrator Ms Diana Kisaka.
