H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa joined Rt. Hon Raila Odinga as he led County staff, both from the Executive and Legislature, along with members of the public, for a solemn burial of former Nominated Senator and MCA, Hon. Godliver Omondi.

Hon. Godliver’s dedication to her people through philanthropy has left an indelible mark in Kakamega County. She greatly shaped the political discourse of Matungu Constituency that led to her nomination as a Senator in 2013 and MCA in 2022, both through the ODM Party.

Rt. Hon Raila Odinga, speaking at the funeral, asked politicians to emulate the late Godliver by remaining to the call of duty when serving the people.

May her family, the County Assembly of Kakamega, and the people of Kholera Ward find solace in her passing.

Also Present were Deputy Party Leader Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya, DG Hon Ayub Savula, Senators, MPs from Kakamega and beyond, MCAs both resident and visiting led by the Speaker Rt. Hon. James Namatsi, County Officials, among other mourners.
