Golden boot contestant Ken Wandiri opened the scores for Kakamega with a superbly curled shot into top left corner of the goal after combining well with veteran striker Alloyce Maingi. Despite a slow start in the early minutes of the game, captain Sam Anyova found his scoring boot back, unleashing a thunderous shot into the net for a respectable 2-0 full time score.
Tactician Hesborne Nyabinge’s charges have netted 21 goals in 5 matches played so far and only conceded once. The team boasts of an experienced technical bench in former Kenyan internationals Anthony Okumu and Allan Wanga as well as the illustrious team manager Elvis Kaiga.

Mombasa ladies ended Kakamega’s fine run in netball with a 28-18 win marking the end of the road for the golden green ladies.
