NACCSC TO CREATE CORRUPTION AWARENESS IN KAKAMEGA

County Secretary and Head of Public Service Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka on Monday hosted a delegation from the National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee (NACCSC) at the County Headquarters with the aim of spearheading public awareness and education on anti-corruption initiatives among residents of Kakamega County.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the capacity of strategic corruption watchdog groups such as Project Management Committees (PMCs) by equipping them with knowledge on their duties and responsibilities in project inspection, to ensure accountability and value for money in all government-funded projects.
In his remarks, County Secretary Dr. Omuhaka noted that empowering residents with knowledge on corruption prevention mechanisms would enhance quality project delivery, particularly within the construction sector.
NACCSC Director Truphosa Achar on the other hand emphasized the importance of collaboration, especially in the collection of public feedback and monitoring of projects being implemented across the county.
Present were Deputy County Secretary CPA Samson Otieno, Chief Officers Mr. Daniel Sumba (County Administration) Mr. Henry Marende. (Special Programmes).
