The organic fertiliser plant at Matawa in Mumias West Sub-County is now fully operational, marking a significant step in Governor Barasa’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.

Through the partnership with Regen Organics, organic waste is now being transformed into high-quality organic fertiliser that will help restore soil fertility, reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers, and boost agricultural productivity.

This investment is creating jobs, strengthening food security, promoting sustainable waste management, and accelerating agro-industrialisation across Kakamega county.
