GOVERNOR BARASA MAKES IMPROMPTU VISIT TO KILINGILI HEALTH CENTRE TO ASSESS SERVICE DELIVERY.

H.E. Governor Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, OGW, today made an impromptu visit to Kilingili Health Centre in Idakho South Ward, Ikolomani Sub-County, to assess service delivery and interact with health workers and patients at the facility.

During the visit, the Governor noted the progress made at the health centre, including availability of essential medicines at the pharmacy, improved infrastructure through renovations, installation of solar power, and a reliable water supply, which have enhanced service delivery.

Governor Barasa said access to quality, affordable, and reliable healthcare remains a key priority of his administration. He highlighted the BarasaCare programme, which continues to support vulnerable households by enabling expectant mothers and children to access healthcare services.

The Governor commended health workers for their commitment and urged them to continue providing quality and professional care to residents. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services across Kakamega County through improved facilities, adequate staffing, modern medical equipment, and consistent supply of essential medicines.

He was accompanied by Members of the County Assembly led by Idakho South MCA Hon. Stephen Mukhala, Members of the County Executive led by CECM for Health CPA Livingston Imbayi, and other County Government officials
