COUNTY INDUCTS 58 NEW ECDE TEACHERS.

The County Government of Kakamega today inducted 58 newly appointed Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers into the County Public Service, equipping them with skills and knowledge to deliver quality development for the young learners.

Speaking during the event, the CECM for Public Service and Administration Dr. Boniface Okoth emphasized the teachers’ role in advancing Governor Fernandes Barasa’s quality devolved education pillar, while the CECM for Education, Science and Technology Dr. Benard Amwayi assured them of the county’s support.

County Attorney CS. Vivviane Mmbaka informed the recruits on legal frameworks while the County Public Service Board Chairperson Mr. James Robert Wakungwi called for professionalism and integrity from the officers.

The teachers, recruited on permanent and pensionable terms, will serve across the county, boosting early childhood education and improving learning outcomes for young learners.

The event was attended by Chief Officers Mrs. Priscah Otipa and Mr. Ambrose Makokha, alongside directors from relevant departments.
