DEPARTMENTS ASKED TO FAST TRACK COMPLETION OF ONGOING PROJECTS TO ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY
The County Government of Kakamega today held a Service Delivery and Project Status Meeting at Golf Hotel,
The plenary session was chaired by the CECM for Finance, Mr. Benjamin Andama, who emphasized the need for proper planning and coordination in disaster management and preparedness for the El NiΓ±o rains.
Mr. Andama called on relevant departments to strengthen preparedness measures and ensure that the county is adequately equipped to respond to potential emergencies and minimize their impact on communities.
Dr. Phitalis Masakhwe Were,the chief officer in charge of service delivery asked all Sub county administrators to help fast track the status of projects
The meeting brought together various county departments and agencies to review the status of ongoing projects and assess service delivery across the county.
It also provided an opportunity for different departments to highlight progress, address emerging challenges and strengthen coordination in the delivery of county programmes and projects.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Masakhwe emphasized the need for departments to prioritize efficient, timely and responsive service delivery while ensuring that county projects and programmes are implemented to the required standards and deliver tangible benefits to residents. He further called for greater accountability, coordination and continuous monitoring of projects to ensure that emerging challenges are addressed promptly.
The session was also attended by senior county officials from various departments and representatives from various county agencies.
