KAKAMEGA COUNTY HOSTS KENYA’S PRESIDENTS

15493250_832809590155862_7731155544243637846_oKakamega County has hosted two Presidents of the republic of Kenya at the same time.

H.E Hon. President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is on a two days state visit of the Western region, was received by Kakamega Governor H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya at the County General Hospital.

Governor Oparanya led the President in touring different sections at the County General Hospital including the Renal, MRI and ICU Units, X-Ray Department and the CT Scan machine (procured by the county government).

President Kenyatta officially commissioned the Managed Equipment Service Machines leased to county governments by the national government. The equipment has been in use for the last two years.
The President was accompanied by his deputy H.E Hon. William Ruto.

On the other hand, The Former President H.E Hon. Mwai Kibaki jetted in the county to preside over the 11th graduation of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology where 3,109 graduands received powers to read and do all that pertains their areas of study.
Kakamega County Deputy Governor H.E Hon. Prof. Philip Kutima represented the government.

In other news updates, Kakamega County is the Ladies Volleyball National Champion in the just concluded 3rd edition of the Kenya Youth Inter-county Sports held in Siaya County after beating Nandi County 3 sets to nil. CECM for Social Services, Youth and Sports Robert Sumbi led the Kakamega team in clinching the title.
