KAKAMEGA PRIORITIZES MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE
The Kakamega County General Hospital is headed to equiping the Pediatric and Maternity Wards with modern equipment for quality health services to the public.
Speaking today during a donation drive towards this course, on behalf of the Kakamega County First Lady Priscilla Oparanya, who was in Nairobi on official duty, nominated Senator Hon. Naomi Shionga Sayia, a former health servant at the hospital, appreciated the notable face-lift construction works of the facility and the acquired health equipment and hospital tools as well as the good management of the health workers by the county government and pledged her legislative support towards improving health services in the county.
The Project Director KCTRH and Level 4 Hospital Dr. Brenda Barasa Makokha reiterated the enormous county government’s support to the hospital and the entire health sector, appreciating Kakamega Governor H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya for his visionary leadership of ensuring accessible quality health services for residents and the general public.
The President of Kakamega Rotary Club Alinda Ware called on the public to join Rotary clubs and give back to the socity.
The function was attended by representatives of the County MP Hon. Elsie Muhanda and the Speaker of the County Assembly Hon. Morris Buluma, Assistant Governor Rotary International Alice Atemo, Country Rotary Vice Chair and Regional Coordinator Engineer George Muyera, Chair Hospital Management Board Dr. Edwin Anjila, Suppliers and Contractors at the hospital, MedSup CGH Dr. Victor Zimbulu, Sub-County MOHs, CHMTs, Director Oparanya Care Program Dr. David Oluoch, Pediatrician Consultant Lupe Hospital Dr. Nick Kidaha, St. Johns Ambulence, Corporate Institutions among other invited guests.
