COUNTY REINSTATES SACKED REVENUE OFFICERS

Kakamega Deputy Governor H.E Ayub Savula, on behalf of the Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa, on Monday welcomed back County revenue officers who had been dismissed for alleged involvement in corrupt malpractices, at a brief event held at the Chambers Hall, County Headquarters.

The exercise follows a court ruling that directed reinstatement of the officers for unprocedural dismissal by their employer, the former County Government administration.

In his address, the Deputy Governor instructed the officers to discharge their mandate diligently observing high levels of integrity at their various work stations so that the Governor’s manifesto to the residents of Kakamega County is actualised.

Further, the DG explained that due to inconsistencies in the flow of funds to the Counties from the Exchequer, the County Government will stagger payment of their compensation but promised that they will be fully paid for the period they were away from duty.

Chief Officers Ms Prisca Otipa (Public Service) and Ms Doreen Amwoga (County Administration) and the Ag Director of Human Resource Madam Rose Busolo were also present.
