DG LEADS KCIDA TEAM TO SHOWCASE KAKAMEGA INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN HOMABAY

Deputy Governor Hon. Ayub Savula represented Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa at the opening of the Homa Bay International Investment Conference 2024 at Tom Mboya University, with President Dr. William Ruto inaugurating the event.

The conference precedes the upcoming Kakamega International Investment Conference scheduled from March 19th to 22nd, 2024. The Kakamega County delegation, led by the Deputy Governor and KCIDA CEO Ms. Elizabeth Asichi, extended a warm invitation to participants to explore investment opportunities in Kakamega County.

During a Trade & Manufacturing breakout session, KCIDA CEO Ms. Elizabeth Asichi highlighted Kakamega’s progress in attracting investments, emphasizing the county’s commitment to fostering economic growth. Participants had the chance to explore various investment prospects at the Kakamega County booth, with the County Government pledging full support to initiatives aimed at bolstering investments in Kakamega County and the Lake Region Economic Block.

Notable attendees included host Governor H.E Gladys Wanga, Chairperson of the Council of Governors H.E Anne Waiguru, Cabinet Secretaries H.E Dr. Alfred Mutua and H.E Salim Mvurya, as well as US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman and other dignitaries.
