FAFA MEDICAL TRAINING COLLEGE OPENS ITS DOORS TO THE WORLD

KAKAMEGA County Deputy Governor H.E. Prof. Philip Museve Kutima today officially opened FAFA Medical Training College at Imakale, Mayoni Ward Matungu sub county, Kakamega County on behalf of the Governor, H.E. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya.

FAFA college is a tertiary level institution registered and licensed to offer education and training courses for clinical officers and nurses. In a speech read by his deputy Prof. Philip Kutima, Kakamega Governor H.E. Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya congratulated the brains behind formation of the outstanding institution and said as one among the private health training institutions in the county, FAFA will impart knowledge and skills to students to enable them provide quality medical care services within the county and beyond. The Governor pointed out learning opportunities accorded to the students in government health facilities as one of the already existing partnership between the county government and the institution to realize growth of both the students career and services at the facilities.

Deputy Governor Prof. Kutima on his part thanked the institution’s executive director and founder Ramadhan Wesaya for the wonderful idea that will positively transform the society. He exuded confidence that the co-operation between the institution and the county government will go beyond what exists currently due to the government’s mission of providing better health services to the residents of Kakamega County. “As a government, we have prioritized provision of health servives in the county by ensuring health is the highest funded sector in this year’s budget,” he added.

Other leaders present were Senator Cleophas Malala, Health Services CECM Rachel Okumu, Chief of Staff Robert Sumbi, Economic Advisor at the County Government Mr. Paul Posho and members of Kakamega County Assembly led by host MCA Hon. Libinus Oduori among others.
