GOVERNOR BARASA CONDEMNS COURT RULING ON GAYISM

Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa on Thursday slammed the Supreme Court verdict allowing registration of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) for gays and lesbians in the Country.

Speaking at Mukangu, Navakholo Sub-County while launching distribution of subsidized farm inputs, the Governor termed homosexuality and lesbianism as unethical and uncultured practices lauding the National Assembly and religious leaders for publicly disapproving the ruling. He termed the decision by Uganda President Yoweri Museveni to ban same gender relationship in the country as the way to go in upholding African culture and practices.

Shinyalu and Lurambi Sub-Counties also hosted the Governor for the same exercise yesterday while launches in Malava, Lugari and Likuyani Sub-Counties will be taking place today at East Kabras, Lwandeti and Sango Ward Offices respectively.
