GOVERNOR BARASA JOINS FELLOW GOVERNORS FOR THE COUNCIL OF GOVERNORS ORDINARY FULL COUNCIL MEETING.

H.E. Governor Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, OGW, today joined fellow Governors at the Council of Governors (CoG) Ordinary Full Council Meeting held at the CoG Headquarters, Delta Corner, Nairobi.

The meeting, chaired by the Chairperson of the Council of Governors, H.E. FCPA Ahmed Abdullahi, EGH, brought together Governors from across the country to deliberate on key governance and development issues aimed at strengthening devolution and enhancing service delivery to wananchi.

A key highlight of the meeting was the State of Devolution Address 2026, during which the CoG Chairperson outlined the progress made in the implementation of devolution, achievements realised over the years, challenges facing county governments, and the Council’s priority areas for advancing the devolved system of governance.

The meeting also provided a platform for Governors to discuss matters of mutual interest and adopt strategies aimed at enhancing collaboration between county governments and safeguarding the gains made under devolution.
