GOVERNOR BARASA PRESIDES OVER CABINET MEETING TO APPROVE 2026/2027 DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND KEY POLICIES
H.E. Governor Dr. Fernandes Barasa today presided over a Cabinet meeting to approve the Annual Development Plan (ADP) for the 2026/2027 financial year and other key County policies.
The Cabinet considered progress in the implementation of the County Governmentβs development programmes, assessed achievements against set targets and identified areas requiring greater attention. The deliberations focused on strengthening implementation, coordination and accountability across departments to ensure that planned programmes and projects deliver the intended results.
Governor Barasa directed the County Executive to enhance performance, ensure timely implementation and strengthen service delivery. He set clear expectations for the work ahead, emphasising the need to accelerate the Countyβs development agenda, address emerging priorities and ensure that public resources deliver tangible benefits to the people of Kakamega County.
