GOVERNOR BARASA TO COMPLETE PROJECTS INITIATED BY HIS PREDECESSOR

Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa has reiterated his commitment to complete all projects initiated by his predecessor H.E Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya. While addressing mourners at Emabole, Shianda-Marenyo Ward Butere Sub-County, Governor Barasa stated that execution of the projects will enhance service delivery citing operationalization of Butere Level 4 Hospital set to be completed this year as one of the major projects in the Sub-County.

The Governor added that plans to elevate Butere town to Municipality status are on course; the elevation will attract massive donor investment and contribute to realization of Wealth Creation and Social Development pillars of his manifesto for the people of Kakamega County.

To accomplish his mandate, FCPA Barasa noted that he will work closely with all elected leaders both at County and National level.

He spoke when he attended the funeral of Mzee James Omwaka and was accompanied by H.E. Wycliffe Oparanya, Woman Rep Hon. Elsie Muhanda, MCAs led by Majority Leader Hon. Philip Maina, County Executive Members Mr Lawrence Omuhaka (PSCA), Ms Penina Mukabane (Lands), Eng. Arch. Patrick Kundu (Roads) and Chief Officers among others.

Earlier in the day, the County boss joined Muslim faithfuls to mark the end of fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadhan at Mumias Muslim Primary School grounds in Mumias West Sub-County.

Governor Barasa also condoled with the family of Mzee Ismael Makokha Mwangi at Ebuyeshe area in Mumias Central Ward following the death of their matriarch, Mama Rehema Shaunda Makokha.
