GOVERNOR BARASA URGES RESIDENTS TO EMBRACE SUGARCANE FARMING

Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa has called on residents to embrace sugarcane farming so as to feed the growing demand for cane by millers in Kakamega County.

Speaking on Saturday when he paid his last respect to Mama Leah Shisia Lukungu at Khabondi Primary School grounds in East Wanga Ward, Mumias East Sub-County, the Governor equally sounded a warning to cartels who are out to frustrate the County Government’s efforts of reviving Mumias Sugar Company.
