GOVERNOR OPARANYA WELCOMES DELEGATES FOR DEVOLUTION CONFERENCE
KAKAMEGA Governor H.E Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has assured the over 6000 delegates attending the Fifth Devolution Conference that Kakamega town and county at large is secure enough to host them during their stay.
In his welcoming remarks, Governor Oparanya urged the delegates to find time and visit some of the renown sites and activities of Kakamega such as the famous “Ikhonga Murwi” of Ilesi and Nabongo shrines among others. He assured the conference that the county is self sufficient with enough food supplies such as maize to feed them during their stay. The Governor declared a 24 hour economy for the entire period of the conference calling on the delegates to actively participate in the sessions during the day and enjoy the night life of Kakamega town even more.
