HARAMBEE–MUSAMBA–KHAUNGA–MALAHA ROAD UPGRADE RESUMES

The upgrade of the Harambee–Musamba–Khaunga–Malaha Road to bitumen standards has resumed, with the Kholera Ward section already completed.

The 12.5-kilometre road is a vital link between Mumias East and Matungu Sub-Counties and is expected to ease movement, strengthen connectivity and open up greater economic opportunities for communities along the corridor.

Governor Dr.Fernandes Barasa has called for the remaining works to be fast-tracked to ensure completion within the agreed timelines.

The project is part of the Governor’s agenda to improve road networks and connectivity across Kakamega County, enhance accessibility and spur economic growth.
