Kakamega county first lady calls on residents to register as voters

Kakamega County First Lady Priscillah Oparanya has today pleaded with the residents to turn up in large numbers and register as voters. Speaking at her residence when she met women leaders from Malava, Likuyani and Lugari, Mrs. Oparanya said Kakamega County is currently at 27% of the target votes in the first round of voter registration exercise for the year 2016/17.
The First lady called on all residents of age with national identity cards to take their voters cards without monetary attachments as is the case in most parts of the larger Western region. Mrs. Oparanya reminded the residents the need to make progressive change in the leadership of Kakamega County and the entire nation in the 2017 General Elections.
The First Lady was flagged by Gender and Community Advisor to H.E the Governor Leonida Anguba and Youths Coordinator Officer Yusuf Omete.
