KAKAMEGA TEAM TO KICOSCA FLAGGED OFF

A strong team of 163 athletes has been dispatched from Kakamega to represent the County in the 9th edition of the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Festivals (KICOSCA) that will be held in Kisumu County from 16th-22nd of January 2023.

H.E Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa Sunday afternoon flagged off the sportsmen and women at the County Headquarters where he exuded confidence that the County ambassadors will emerge victorious in the various sports disciplines they will compete in, saying the platform will present a good opportunity for the athletes to showcase Kakamega’s talents and prowess in sports.

The County will be competing in Soccer, Tug of War Men and Women, Volleyball, Netball, and Ajua disciplines. Others are Table Tennis, Badminton, Golf, Darts as well as Music and Dance where Kakamega is famed for her stellar performance at the national and regional platform.

The ceremony was attended by the CECM Me Mophat Mandela, Chief Officers and other senior County officers.
