LADY EXECUTIVE DONATE IFTAR SADAQ TO NAVAKHOLO MUSLIM COMMUNITY

Senior County Female Executive Members Led by the CECM for Lands, Urban Development and Physical Planning Dr. Mariam Barasa on Sunday March 24th donated Iftar Sadaq to Navakholo Subcounty Muslim Community. Iftar is a Meal taken by the Muslim Umma as they break their fast during this Holy month of Ramadhan. The team donated a total of 500 kilograms of rice among other donations. The benefiting Faithfuls were drawn from Chebuyusi, Lutasio, Musaga and Buheri mosques

While speaking during the event, lands CECM asked Navakholo residents to embrace land succession in order to ensure peace and unity at family level as well as end family wrangles that are related to land issues. Regarding economic development; the CECM encouraged the womenfolk to register as groups so as to benefit from the low interest loans and grant availed by the county.

CECM Trade and Industrialization Ms. Rachel Atamba on her part pledged to continue supporting the Market related issues like the ongoing toilet construction. CECM Water, Environment and Natural Resources on her part assured residents of Governor Fernandes Barasa’s commitment to the Amatsi Khumuliango dream before his first term comes to an end. County Attorney Ms. Vivienne Mmbaka pledged to give legal guidance in all county Government’s executive so as to ensure equitable resource allocation under the Maendeleo na Usawa slogan of Governor Fernandes Barasa’s manifesto.

Other key Issues discussed in the function include embracing TVET Education, Community Economic Empowerment and well as the need of Political Unity inorder to fodge their development agenda.

Present to support the function was Bunyala Central Area MCA Mr. Benjamin Were and Kakamega County’s Solicitor Ms. Mildred Wandema.
