NAMISI BRIDGE SITE HANDED OVER TO CONTRACTOR FOR CONSTRUCTION

The County Government of Kakamega has handed over the Namisi Bridge in Butere sub-county to the contractor, Rodz Limited, marking the beginning of construction works aimed at improving connectivity and boosting socio-economic activities in the area.

The project is being implemented under the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) programme at a cost of KSh 10 million and will connect residents of Ematende and Ituti community areas in Marama West once completed within six months.

The handover exercise was graced by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change Mrs. Peninah Mukabane and the Chief Officer for Water and Sanitation Dr Mariam Were.
