SCHOOLS RECEIVE PIPED WATER FOLLOWING REHABILITATION OF MISANGO WATER PLANT.

Following the recent rehabilitation of the Misango Water Plant in Khwisero Subcounty, learning institutions have started receiving piped water in line with Governor Fernandes Barasa’s vision of expanding access to clean and safe water across Kakamega County.
Emuruba Primary and Mundoli Secondary Schools are among the first beneficiaries of the rehabilitated water project, with the restored water supply expected to improve access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and the overall learning environment for learners and staff.
Speaking during an inspection of the water flow in the subcounty, Chief Officer for Water and Climate Change, Dr. Mariam Were, urged residents, schools, health facilities, and other institutions within the project area to apply for water connections.
Dr. Were further noted that the Misango Water Project is expected to supply clean and affordable water across Khwisero Subcounty, significantly improving access to safe water while supporting better health, education, and economic development.
