WESTERN LEADERS SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE ON REGION’S FUTURE AND PARTNERSHIP WITH PRESIDENT RUTO

This evening, H.E. Governor Dr. Fernandes Barasa joined Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, fellow Governors; Dr. Kenneth Lusaka of Bungoma, Dr. Wilber Ottichilo of Vihiga and Dr. Paul Otuoma of Busia at Golf Hotel, Kakamega, for a major live interview broadcast across Western Kenya-based television and radio stations.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary and the four Western Kenya Governors spoke with one voice on the region’s position, affirming their commitment to working with President William Ruto under the Broad-Based Government arrangement and highlighting the ongoing development projects and investments being undertaken across Western Kenya through the National Government.

The leaders discussed key development priorities, regional unity and collaborative strategies aimed at advancing the social and economic transformation of Western Kenya.

They highlighted investments and development programmes in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, trade and other key sectors, noting the importance of continued cooperation between the region and the national government.

The leaders later held a consultative meeting on the future of the Mulembe Nation, where they discussed shared regional priorities and the need for greater unity and collaboration in championing the interests and development aspirations of the people of Western Kenya.
